For the little story…
The race was created in 1933 by Albert Lejeune, director of two newspapers, Le PetitJournal and Le Petit Niçois. It is about establishing a link through a sporting event between the
two newspapers. The Paris-Nice race is thus presented as the extension of the track season by linking Paris to Nice without approaching the Alpine massif and takes the name of "Six Days
of the Road »The race leaves Paris for Dijon then stops in Lyon, Avignon, Marseille, Cannes to finish in Nice, in six days.
Also, the leader's jersey is azure and gold, evoking the blue of the Mediterranean and the gold of the Nice sun.
En 1954, the test takes the name of Paris-Nice.
