After completing university studies with a DESS (postgraduate diploma) in international industrial and commercial strategies, Géraldine worked in the metallurgy sector at Aubert et Duval as a business manager. This initial professional experience allowed her to immerse herself in the industrial environment and immediately gave her a taste for technical expertise.
Géraldine, what are your responsibilities within the sales department?
As a full-fledged sales representative, I am in charge of a fairly broad client portfolio in terms of business sectors, ranging from industry, of course, to horizons linked to communication such as advertising agencies, institutions or even the luxury sector... It must also be said that we benefit from a rather loyal clientele that I "pamper". In fact, 75% of our orders are placed by recurring customers.
What is your role as sales director?
I lead a daily "activity" meeting with my sales team, which consists of three business managers and two other administrative support staff. I monitor our results to contribute to the company's sustainability.
How do you approach customer relations?
The human aspect of our business is our core concern. Our technical sales background allows us to anticipate the expectations of our clients and prospects by playing a true advisory role on their project. Together, we define the product that will meet their expectations, based on its final application so as not to be "off the mark"! The richness of our company lies in the variety of techniques and materials we offer. You won't find a catalog at Marquage ModerneAll our products are custom-made, made from raw materials that we process, and adapted to the constraints of each project. And for more specific requests, we can count on the interaction of our methods department, in direct contact with our production workshops.
What do you like about your job?
There are several reasons why I never tire of my job at Marquage Moderne, and this for 15 years! First of all, my appetite for the technical aspect of this position and the realization of the projects I carry out. Then, there is the variety of my contacts. My interlocutors have very different profiles, whether they are business managers, buyers, design offices, maintenance services, managers... Finally, the possibility of combining both the industrial and communication sectors. The technical expertise required in the industrial fields has allowed us to achieve real relevance with communication players, by deploying our know-how on requests with high demands in terms of the expected final result. This diversity provides me with ever more motivating experiences!
